AIS is made up of three sub-schools: Early Years; an Elementary School and a Secondary School. AIS engages different global curricula across its sub-schools. In 2007, the school adopted the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program for Elementary students. In Secondary school, students take the Australian Curriculum; the Cambridge IGCSE and in Years 11 and 12, can choose to take either the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program or the New South Wales Higher School Certificate examinations.
